In what has been the latest development as per the reports in PTI, Delhi Capitals (DC) pacer Kamlesh Nagarkoti has been ruled out of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 with a back injury. This will come as a major blow for the team as they have already been struggling to get going in the tournament.
Although there’s no official confirmation, it is expected that the franchise will make the announcement soon and are also likely to make the replacement as well.

Kamlesh Nagarkoti didn’t play a single match in the ongoing IPL 2023 as DC preferred Chetan Sakariya, Khaleel Ahmed, and Aman Khan ahead of him. The fast bowler has a history of back injuries and it can be assumed that his injury woes have come to haunt him again.

Delhi Capitals are having a tough time in the IPL 2023. They have lost all their five games in the tournament and are reeling at the bottom of the points table. They kick-started their campaign with a massive 50-run loss against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).

And then followed it with a 6-wicket loss against defending champions Gujarat Titans (GT) at home. If this was not enough they then suffered another thumping loss as they were pounded by Rajasthan Royals (RR) 57 runs.
The David Warner-led side also were receiving the end of a 6-wicket thumping at the hands of MI and in their most recent encounter they failed to chase 174 runs, losing the game by 23 runs against RCB. DC are next slated to lock horns against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Thursday (20th April) and would be hoping to mark their first win of the season.
