five-time winners of the IPL Mumbai Indians lost as many as 10 games en route to finishing last in IPL 2022. Their worst season in the IPL was that one. Mumbai kept 16 players and released 14 players before the IPL 2023 auction.
Due to their lack of performance in the T20 circuit, some of the players released by MI stand a good chance of receiving zero offers at the upcoming auction.

Many of the players on the list of those who have been publicly revealed are known short-format performers, and some of them are anticipated to be in great demand during the IPL 2023 auction. There are others, though, that might not pique the franchisees’ attention and end up unsold at the future auction.
Let’s have a look at the 3 players released by Mumbai Indians (MI) who might go unsold in the auction.
IPL 2023 Auction: 3 Players Released By Mumbai Indians (MI) Who Might Go Unsold In The Auction
Tymal Mills
Tymal Mills fell short of the high expectations placed on him during his return IPL season. Tymal Mills, who cost the Mumbai Indians INR 1.50 crore, took 6 wickets in 5 games while bowling with an economy rate of 11.18. Even if a bowler is an expert in death overs, an economy rate of 10 or above is totally unacceptable.
Tymal Mills, a left-arm pacer for England, struggled to regulate the flow of runs and was limited to just 5 games as a result. Tymal Mills came back five years after making his IPL debut with RCB in 2017.
Fabian Allen
The Jamaican all-rounder has traveled the world playing T20 franchise cricket. He has been a consistent player for the West Indies since making his debut in 2018.
Fabian Allen did not play during the IPL 2022 season though. He only participated in one game, taking one wicket at a cost of 46 runs in his four overs. And the Mumbai Indians have not included him in their starting 11 since that time.
Aryan Juyal
Mumbai purchased the 20-year-old cricketer, who was born in Uttar Pradesh, at his base price of INR 20 Lakh during the IPL 2022 mega auction.
Juyal has only participated in 35 matches total across the three formats of domestic cricket for Uttar Pradesh. The right-hander has scored 67 runs at a strike rate of over 125 in 7 T20 outings.
Aryan’s sole appearance on the field during the previous IPL season was as the Mumbai Indians’ backup wicketkeeper during the second innings against Delhi while Ishan Kishan was out.
Mumbai Indians Released Player List:
Anmolpreet Singh, Aryan Juyal, Basil Thampi, Daniel Sams*, Fabian Allen*, Jaydev Unadkat, Kieron Pollard*, Mayank Markande, Murugan Ashwin, Rahul Buddhi, Riley Meredith*, Sanjay Yadav, Tymal Mills
