Maheesh Theekshana

Mystery spinner from Sri Lanka made his way in IPL 2022 as the Chennai Super Kings bought him for INR 70 lakhs at the 2022 Mega Auction. KKR and CSK both showed interest in the 21-year-old youngster, but it was the CSK who bagged him into their camp.
Referred to as the next mystery sensation in Sri Lankan cricket, he picked up 12 wickets in 9 games for CSK in IPL 2022 in an otherwise disappointing campaign where CSK finished at the second last spot.
At 22, he is called the xerox of Ajantha Mendis, and some of the franchises can go big to secure his services if CSK decides to release him. At the ongoing WC, he has taken 9 wickets so far in the T20 World Cup 2022.
