Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will head into the IPL 2023 auction with the second-lowest remaining purse of 8.75 crores. The franchise retained 18 players and has seven slots remaining. RCB finished fourth on the points table after losing the second qualifier to Rajasthan Royals.

RCB are yet to win the IPL despite the best T20 players playing for them over the years. The likes of Chris Gayle, AB De Villers, and Tillakaratne Dilshan have played for them among the overseas players. Virat Kohli has been associated with the franchise since the first season. Faf du Plessis was chosen as their new skipper in the previous season.

Karun Nair was released by Rajasthan Royals ahead of the IPL 2023 auction. The Karnataka cricketer’s recent tweet has made the world take notice of him once again. He is almost a forgotten name within the Indian cricket circle at the moment. Nair was just the second Indian cricketer after Virender Sehwag to score a triple century in Test cricket.

Agarwal led Punjab Kings in IPL 2021. In 12 innings, the right-handed batsman scored just 196 runs at an average of 16.33 with just 1 fifty in one game. His performance resulted in the franchise parting ways with the Karnataka batter. He recently led his state side to the quarter-finals in the Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament losing out to Punjab in the knockout game.

Manish Pandey

Manish Pandey was released by Lucknow Super Giants after an indifferent season with the franchise. He scored just 88 runs in six games at an average of 14.67. Alongside Dinesh Karthik and Glenn Maxwell, Pandy can be a good option in the middle order for RCB. He was the first-ever RCB cricketer to score an IPL century. The right-hander has plenty of experience and can be a good addition o the side.

Shreyas Gopal

Gopal, the leg spinner can be another good addition for RCB. He was released by SRH ahead of IPL 2023 auction. Gopal has played for Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians previously in the IPL. His best has come for the Royals so far picking up 41 wickets in 42 games for the franchise. Gopal can be a backup for Wanindu Hasaranga.

Jagadeesha Suchith

The southpaw was released by SRH ahead of the auctions after he played just five games for them last season. He did not make an impact with either the bat or the ball.
