Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has revealed their lists of released and retained players for IPL 2023 auction. The franchise has released 10 players from their squad. IPL 2023 auction is going to take place next month.
BCCI has planned to conduct IPL 2023 auction on December 23 in Kochi, Kerala. It will be a mini-auction. BCCI had set November 15 as the deadline for finalizing the retention lists by every IPL team. This time, the franchises will have a salary purse of Rs. 95 crores during IPL 2023 auction.

IPL 2023 Auction: Complete List Of Players Released By Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB)
Royal Challengers Bangalore has never won an IPL title in 15 seasons so far. However, the team has reached the finals three times in 2009, 2011, and 2016 seasons. In all these three seasons, RCB finished as runners-up.
Royal Challengers Bangalore was led by Faf du Plessis in the last season. They came up with a good show in the tournament, reaching the playoffs. RCB played 14 games during the league stage, winning 8 matches and losing 6. With 16 points, they finished in the 4th position in the points table and reached the playoffs.
In the playoffs, Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Lucknow Super Giants in the Eliminator. However, RCB lost the Qualifier 2 match to Rajasthan Royals and could not reach the final. Hence, they finished in 3rd place.
Skipper Faf du Plessis was the top performer for the team with the bat in the last season, smashing 468 runs in 16 games. Virat Kohli and Rajat Patidar also showcased an impressive batting show, hitting 341 and 333 runs respectively. In bowling, spinner Wanindu Hasaranga picked the most 26 wickets for the team.
