Both Suresh Raina and Robin Uthappa, who have since departed from both international and IPL cricket, looked back on their time with the Chennai Super Kings and recalled how the MS Dhoni-led CSK made them feel safe and at home.
Suresh Raina is the CSK player that receives the most support from the Chennai audience after skipper MS Dhoni. Raina is Chinna Thala if Dhoni is Thala.

Recently, on Success Mantra, a brand-new episode of “Legends Lounge,” a JioCinema original, Uthappa discussed his memories of the CSK era. The Karnataka batter believed stability, communication, and inclusivity across the organization stood out for him the most after being traded to CSK in 2021.
Uthappa, who had to wait a bit before donning the Yellow, said, “The sense of security and inclusiveness that the players who aren’t in the playing XI had made it a terrific atmosphere, I never felt left out at any stage. It is difficult to miss 12 games, especially after 195 games have already been played.”

“You felt like a pampered kid”: Suresh Raina
Suresh Raina went on to say that cricketers received various bonuses for their performances as well, adding that you felt unique when playing for the CSK franchise.
“They give a lot of bonuses, too,” Raina chuckled in between. “You always feel like doing something special for them; you felt like a pampered kid,” Suresh Raina said.
Both of them began their IPL careers with Chennai Super Kings, and despite CSK receiving a two-year suspension, it appears that both will end their IPL careers with the same team. Robin Uthappa spent two seasons with Chennai, where he also won a title. Uthappa was only with the franchise for two years before they opted not to keep him, although his time there was excellent.
