Moeen Ali, the World Cup champion, has stated that Mahendra Singh Dhoni taught him everything he knows about leadership during his time with the Chennai Super Kings.
Ali, one of Chennai’s most valued possessions, stated that he learned a lot about batting while interacting with the renowned Indian skipper.

Moeen joined the CSK camp in 2021 and was promoted to No. 3 hitter during the season. He scored 357 runs in 15 matches at a strike rate of 137.31 and an average of 25.50. The next year, MS Dhoni and company won the championship for the fourth time, becoming the league’s second-most successful side after Mumbai Indians.
Moeen Ali discussed his time with CSK in an interview with Cricbuzz before the 2023 season of the Indian Premier League, which is expected to be Dhoni’s last. Ali now represents Sharjah Warriors as their franchise captain in the International League T20.

“I spent some time with MS and spoke a lot. I ask questions about captaincy and he answers. It is very open like that. As a captain, I learned a lot from him. I have also learned a lot from his batting. You learn a lot in CSK,” Moeen Ali told Cricbuzz.

The teams will return to their home stadiums for the 2019 IPL season, and Moeen is eager to play in the Chepauk.
“I don’t know about other teams but CSK is a family franchise. I am looking forward to this season. They had a very good auction. I am looking forward to playing with the new players and the biggest thing is I am looking forward to the Chepauk and its crowd,” he added.
Moeen Ali just lifted the T20 World Cup trophy with England, becoming one of only a few people in cricket history to have won both the ODI and T20 World Cups.
