IPL Auction 2023: 3 Australian Players That Gujarat Titans Can Target. Against all expectations, Gujarat Titans went on to win IPL 2022. No one gave them a chance after the auction ended. However, the management was brilliant with its utilization of resources and tactics. The team had a few issues after the bright start but finished the tournament well.

The Kiwi pacer played 13 games for Gujarat Titans last season picking 12 wickets at an ER of 8.96. So it is really surprising that he has been let by the franchise. The other recognizable player who was released was the out-of-favor England opener Jason Roy who opted out of the league last time around.

Australia’s BIG BASH Succesful opener Ben McDermott is in scintillating form. He scored a jaw-dropping 577 runs in the 11 edition of the BBL and was named the player of the tournament. The Hurricanes opener also became the first player in BBL to score two back-to-back hundreds. He also played a hand in Australia winning 4-1 in the T20I series against Sri Lanka.

The 27-year-old is an attacking player and can clear the ropes handsomely. He is also a power play enforcer. Gujarat Titans can look to target him in IPL Auction 2023.

By releasing Lockie Ferguson and Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Gujarat Titans must have fallen short of a pacer and an opening batter in their squad and given, Cameron Green can open the batting for the team and can bowl consistently at 130-140 kmph, the Gujarat Titans will definitely go after him in the IPL auction 2023.

Daniel Sams

In the IPL 2022 auction, Mumbai Indians acquired Australian pacer Daniel Sams for INR 2.6 crores. Last season (IPL 2022), he participated in 11 games, taking 13 wickets at an average of 28.46 and an economy rate of 8.81. He scored 38 runs in 10 innings while at bat.

These results, however, weren’t excellent enough to support Daniel Sams’s talent and compel Mumbai to keep him on staff. The Australian pacer, though, has the capacity to swing the new ball when diving into the water.

He may be quite useful in death overs as well. The 30-year-old is capable of making powerful bat hits. Daniel Sams, who is a total package in and of himself, can be the ideal utility cricketer in the IPL in 2023 if acquired by Gujarat in the IPL auction 2023.
