Jason Holder was picked by Rajasthan Royals during IPL 2023 auction. The team shelled out Rs. 5.75 crores to grab the player into their squad. Jason Holder had set a base price of Rs. 2 crores in the IPL 2023 auction.

Jason Holder is a West Indies player. He is a bowling all-rounder. He bowls right-arm medium pace and bats right-handed. He is 31 years old and has played many games in the Indian Premier League.

Jason Holder Was Part of Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2022

Last season, the Caribbean player was part of Lucknow Super Giants team. Holder played 12 matches for the team. He scored 58 runs at a strike rate of 131+ and hunted 14 wickets at an average of 27.93 and an economy of 9.42.

Holder first played in IPL in the 2013 season. So far, he has played in IPL 2013, 2014, 2016, 2020, 2021, and 2022. He has played for teams like Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Lucknow Super Giants.

Across 38 games in IPL, the all-rounder has scored 247 runs and picked 49 wickets. Holder is a regular member of the West Indies national team. So far, he has played 38 Tests, 131 ODIs, and 49 T20Is for West Indies. Hence, he is quite an experienced international player.

In 58 Tests, he has scored 2612 runs and picked 143 wickets. He has also hit 3 centuries and 11 half-centuries in Tests, along with a double century of 202 runs. In ODIs, Holder has mustered 2042 runs in 131 games and scalped 153 wickets.

In T20Is, the right-handed batsman has scored 385 runs in 49 games. The right-arm pacer has also hunted 51 wickets for West Indies in the shortest format at an average of 26.86 and an economy rate of 8.17.
