Sam Curran was bought by Punjab Kings (PBKS) for Rs. 18.50 crores during IPL 2023 auction. The England all-rounder had a base price of Rs. 2 crores during IPL 2023 auction. Sam Curran is an all-rounder who bowls left-arm medium pace and bats left-handed.

Sam Curran did not play in IPL 2022 as he wanted to focus on his domestic team. In IPL 2021, the left-arm pacer was part of the Chennai Super Kings. He played 9 matches for CSK and scored 56 runs at a strike rate of 193+. With the ball, he scalped 9 wickets in 9 games at an average of 36.44.
