Punjab Kings (PBKS) spinner Harpreet Brar pulled off a ‘finger on the lips’ celebration after Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir to silence the crowd during the 53rd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at the Eden Gardens against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
Harpreet Brar pulled off the celebration after taking the wicket of Jason Roy. The English batter took PBKS bowlers to cleaners and smashed them all over the park. He was going great guns and looked set for a big score but the left-arm spinner cut short his innings.

During the time Jason Roy was going, the crowd went berserk but after taking his wicket Harpreet Brar put a finger on his lips to silence the crowd. Notably, Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir also did the same when Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants took each other in two games this season.

KKR vs PBKS: PBKS posted a total of 179 runs on the board
Batting first after winning the toss, PBKS had a poor start as they lost Prabhsimran Singh (12), Bhanuka Rajapaksa (0), and Liam Livingstone (15) early to see themselves tottering at 53/3. But after that skipper Shikhar smashed a staggering half-century.
A vital contribution from Jitesh Sharma (21), Rishi Dhawan (19), Shahrukh Khan (21*), and Harpreet Brar (17*) gave a much-needed boost to PBKS’ innings as they posted a total of 179 runs on the board.
