LSG had a topsy-turvy start to their run chase of 183 runs as they scored 54 runs in the first 6 overs for the loss of  2 wickets. Marcus Stoinis along with Krunal Pandya put the run chase back on track. Marcus Stoinis was slowly getting into the groove and was looking ominous.

Earlier MI had won the toss & opted to bat first. MI posted a competitive total of 182-8. The flamboyant batter Cameron Green smashed a terrific knock of 41 runs in 23 balls and struck 6 fours and 1 six.

LSG’s pacer Naveen-ul-Haq was the wrecker in chief who took 4 wickets and gave away 38 runs in his 4-over spell. The rising pacer Yash Thakur grabbed 3 wickets and conceded 34 runs in his quota of 4 over spell.

Marcus Stoinis was dismissed on 40 runs in 27 balls and struck 5 fours and 1 six. LSG’s score at 11.5 overs was 89-6. LSG fans would be hoping that Deepak Hooda bats till the end of the innings as we have witnessed that sides have chased improbable targets in the death overs.
