MI vs GT: Gujarat Titans To Wear Special 'Lavender' Jerseys In Their Last Home Game To Support The Fight Against Cancer

Defending champions Gujarat Titans will don a special jersey in their last home game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at the Narendra Modi International Stadium in Ahmedabad. They will change their attire to support the fight against cancer.

Gujarat Titans will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in their last league game on 15th May. They will wear lavender colour kits as it will symbolise all types of cancer and will serve as a powerful reminder of the many lives affected by the disease.

The main aim behind Gujuarat Titans’ wearing lavender jersey would be to raise awareness about the importance of early detection and to inspire people to learn more about cancer prevention and the necessary lifestyle changes.

Gujarat Titans skipper Hardik Pandya talked about their initiative, saying that as a team they are responsible towards raising awareness. Speaking in an official release, he said:

“Cancer is a battle fought by millions in India and across the globe, and as a team, we feel responsible towards raising awareness about this deadly disease. Wearing lavender jerseys is our way of showing solidarity with cancer patients, survivors, and their families. We hope our actions will inspire others to take preventive measures and support those who are fighting this battle.”

MI vs GT: Gujarat Titans hot favourites to qualify for the playoffs

Gujarat Titans are one of the hot favourites to qualify for the playoffs of the IPL 2023. It’s fair to say that they need 1 win to ensure their place in playoffs. They will next take on Mumbai Indians (MI) on Friday (12th May).
