RCB won the toss & opted to bowl first against MI at M Chinnaswamy Stadium. MI had a shaky start to their innings as they lost 3 wickets in the power-play overs & scored 29 runs only. Suryakumar Yadav was dismissed in the 9th over for 15 runs in 16 balls. Nehal Wadhera came into bat, and the left-handed batter from the Punjab team made his IPL debut for MI. Nehal Wadhera was a part of India’s U-19 squad as well.

Nehal Wadhera along with Tilak Verma made sure that they don’t lose any more wickets as already the team were in a precarious position at 48-4 in 8.5 overs. Nehal Wadhera was playing the second fiddle as Tilak Verma was taking calculative risks as the RCB bowlers were spot on with their line & length.

Fascinating match on Cards

The partnership of Tilak Verma & Nehal Wadhera of 50 runs has changed the complexion of the match. MI would be aiming to get a score around 160 which would give them a chance. MI have got the services of Jofra Archer present where they would back themselves to defend the target.

RCB on the other hand, needs to bring back the right-arm speedster Mohammed Siraj into the attack where a wicket in this situation can put RCB in a state of ascendancy. RCB have been dealt with a huge blow as Reece Topley couldn’t bowl the remaining overs due to the injury.
