SRH vs PBKS: Watch- Umran Malik Thrashes Harpreet Brar's Stumps

Sunrisers Hyderabad’s (SRH) skipper Aiden Markram won the toss & elected to bowl first against Punjab Kings (PBKS). PBKS had a terrible start to their innings as they lost 3 wickets & scored 41 runs. Umran Malik got the key wicket of impact player Sikandar Raza in the 10th over. Umran Malik was quite lethal in his first over.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar was getting a lot of assistance from the track despite there being not ample grass present. Matthew Short who came into the team in place of injured Bhanuka Rajapaksa had a forgettable IPL debut as he scored 1 run in 3 balls. It looked as if PBKS’ batters weren’t ready for the challenge.

Umran Malik was bowling the 12th over, on the second delivery of the over Umran Malik went around the wicket and cramped Harpreet Brar for room & cleaned him up by bowling a 148 km/hr delivery. Harpreet Brar was dismissed on 1 run in 2 balls. PBKS are in a precarious position at 77-7 in 11.2 overs.

Aiden Markram would be thinking of giving another over to the right-arm speedster Umran Malik who has shown good control over his line & length. PBKS don’t have any recognized batter present except Shikhar Dhawan. SRH would be aiming to wrap up the innings quickly.

Crucial Phase for PBKS

Shikhar Dhawan now has to make sure that he stays till the end of the innings and tries to put a score around 130 which would give them some sort of chance in the match. It has been a disappointing performance from PBKS’ batters, they looked in a hurry to play shots when there was ample time left in the match.
