IPL Points Table 2024: Orange Cap, Purple Cap List After CSK vs GT Match 7

CSK vs GT Match 7 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 took place on Tuesday (26th March). The finalists of the last edition of the league were up against each other at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai and it saw a magnificent effort from both the teams.
Gujarat Titans won the toss and opted to field first. But their decision didn’t go their way as Chennai Super Kings (CSK) openers Ruturaj Gaikwad and Rachin Ravindra were exceptional. The duo came out all guns blazing and put the opposition under pressure.
Both scored 46 runs each as they added 62 runs together. After that, it was all about Shivam Dube, who slammed a brutal half-century. The lanky batter scored 51 runs off 23 balls that made sure opposition spinners didn’t get settled in at all. He batted with a strike rate of over 221.
Daryll Mitchell (24) and Sameer Rizvi (14) finished the innings on high as Chennai Super Kings posted a gigantic total of 206 runs on the board. For Gujarat Titans, Mohit Sharma was the pick of the bowlers with his figures of 1/36.
In the chase, Shubman Gill (8) lost his wicket early and after that, they didn’t get going at all. Sai Sudharsan (37) was the top run scorer but that wasn’t sufficient as Gujarat Titans couldn’t chase the target. Chennai Super Kings bowlers kept chipping with wickets at regular intervals. The visitors managed just 143/8 and lost the game by 68 runs.

Chennai Super Kings bagged the top spot in the IPL 2024 points table. after CSK vs GT match 7. Rajasthan Royals were displaced to second spot. Gujarat Titans after the loss were pushed down to 6th spot. Kolkata Knight Riders are 3rd whereas Punjab Kings is at 4th spot and RCB are 5th. The rest of the teams are yet to register to win.
