Super Kings have figured out a way to win matches at home and the par score which is enough for them to win at home. They have now won 13 matches since the start of IPL 2022 defending totals around 160 or more.

Mayank Yadav will miss the next match for them as he picked up an abdominal soreness and his workload is being monitored.

Delhi Capitals

The DC bowlers got a lot of beating in the last two games. KKR posted 272 against them while Mumbai Indians posted 234. They could not make Vizag the home-winning one and lose one.

Kuldeep Yadav has not played since the match against KKR as he picked up a groin injury. It will be interesting to see whether he returns against LSG.

He will be a handful on that Lucknow pitch. There are further reports that Mitchell Marsh might be ruled out for a week after he picked up a hamstring injury.

LSG vs DC Key Factors

Pitch Conditions

The pitch at the Ekana stadium is generally a spinning track. So far two matches have been played at this venue. The Super Giants posted 199 in the first match which they defended against PBBKS.

They defended 163 against GT and a82 against RCB at Bengaluru. Thus their bowlers have stepped up so far and playing at home they should be comfortable against DC.

Form and Fitness

Batters from both teams are yet to hit the kind of form they would ideally like. However, for Lucknow Snicholas Pooran has been striking it big and Marcus Stoinis has looked good as well.

Both teams have injury concerns for key players. For LSG, Mayank Yadav will miss the match as he picked up an abdominal soreness and his workload is being monitored.

For DC, Kuldeep is struggling with a groin niggle, and as per reports, Mitchell Marsh is likely to be ruled out for a week due to his hamstring injury. There is a question mark on Kuldeep's return against LSG as well.

Tactical Acumen

KL Rahul as captain has been smart with his bowling changes in Lucknow when defending totals at the Ekana stadium.

With key players injured and playing way from home, Rishabh Pant also has to make smart moves of they are to end their losing streak. DC are yet to win against LSG in the IL losing their previous three games.
