LSG and PBKS go head to head in match 11 of IPL 2024 in Lucknow on Saturday, March 30. The match starts at 7.30 pm IST and is the first home game for the Lucknow Super Giants this season. LSG led by KL Rahul lost their first game against Rajasthan Royals as they failed to chase 194 to win. Skipper KL Rahul who was expected to bat in the middle-order eventually opened and scored 58. Nicholas Pooran’s 64 off 41 balls also went in vain. 

Punjab Kings, on the other hand, failed to defend 177 at the Chinnaswamy as they lost to RCB in their second game. They defeated Delhi Capitals chasing in the first game but failed to defend against their Southern rivals.

The batting lineup is already looking dependent on Shikhar Dhawan who scored 45 in the last game. Jonny Bairstow failed to give a good start to the franchise. His form has been a concern for the franchise. Harshal Patel has missed his mark in the death overs in back-to-back games for the Kings. 

LSG and PBKS played two games last season and won one game each. While LSG won at Mohali, the Kings won in Lucknow. Both will be bracing themselves for another game in Lucknow.

The home side struggled to win too many games at home last season. They won just three and lost three. The excessive spinning conditions did not work in their favor last season. The batters performed much better in away games than at home.

Both teams are looking for their first IPL title. LSG have qualified for the playoffs in IPL 2022 and 2023 and lost out in the Eliminators bot times. Punjab Kings, on the other hand, have been the perennial underachievers in the IPL making the IPL final just once in 2014 and losing out to KKR.

He scored 57 in the chase and took 1/19 with the ball. LSG scored a mammoth 257 in Mohali and won the game by 56 runs as Punjab Kings were bowled out for 201.
