Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) captain Pat Cummins expressed anticipation for the forthcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Pat Cummins emphasized the challenge of bowling against his Australian teammate Glenn Maxwell.

RCB and SRH are set to face off at Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Monday, April 15th. Sunrisers Hyderabad, led by Pat Cummins, currently holds the fourth position in the 10-team table, while the Bengaluru team sits at the bottom with only two points from six games.

The Faf du Plessis-led team will complete half of their season with their seventh match. They suffered a humiliating defeat against the Mumbai Indians (MI) in their last game. Meanwhile, Hyderabad has arrived in Bengaluru after a narrow victory over the Punjab Kings (PBKS).

It's Going To Be Different Bowling To Him - Pat Cummins

Pat Cummins' stellar leadership in Australia's sixth World Cup win led to a record-breaking 20.25 crore bid from SunRisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2024 auction. The veteran pacer has excelled in both leadership and bowling. He has secured six wickets in five matches at an economy rate of 7.30.

In a video posted by Star Sports on X (formerly known as Twitter), Pat Cummins expressed admiration for Glenn Maxwell's performance. Cummins highlighted the excitement and challenge of facing Maxwell's batting skills, noting the competitiveness and camaraderie they share off the field.

"Maxwell - it's great when he's on my team. I'm down the other end and see him play some magic shots. It's going to be different bowling to him. So it's always a great challenge. Super competitive once we get off the field, we always have a bit of a laugh about it," Cummins said.

Glenn Maxwell has yet to find his form in the IPL 2024. He has only managed to score 32 runs in six innings at an average of under six with a strike rate of 94.11, including three ducks. This downturn in performance is unexpected, especially considering his recent success in Australian limited-overs cricket.

We're Trying To Give Our Best - Pat Cummins

Pat Cummins, anticipating winning his maiden IPL title as captain, expressed excitement about playing in front of passionate fans. The veteran pacer acknowledged their support both on the ground and on social media, emphasizing the team's determination to win for them.

"We're excited to play in front of the fans. We know how passionate you are. You always turn up at the ground. We see you on social media. We're trying to give our best shot. Desperately want to win this thing for you guys," Cummins added.

The RCB franchise has won three of their last five matches against SRH, who has a poor record at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. However, given the current form of both teams, historical outcomes may not hold much significance, making the upcoming match an intriguing contest between them.
