Former Pakistan skipper Wasim Akram made an interesting revelation on South African hard-hitting batsman David Miller. Miller was recently seen playing in the Bangladesh Premier League and helping Fortune Barishal win the BPL title.

Fortune Barishal chased down 155 in the final against Comilla Victorians with Miller scoring an unbeaten 8 off seven balls. Tamim Iqbal the former Bangladesh skipper has now won his first BPL title as skipper. Meanwhile, Miller scored just 47 runs in the three matches that he played.

Wasim Akram Makes Shocking Revelation On David Miller

Wasim Akram during a live discussion on the Pakistan Super League made a huge revelation regarding the marriage of the South African cricketer.

“I just found out today because we were discussing who won the BPL as we were not following because of the PSL. David Miller was offered $150,000 to play last three matches. He postponed his wedding,” Akram said on the ‘The Pavillion’ show after Monday’s PSL 2024 match between Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings.

Before the BPL, Miller led the Paarl Royals in the SA20 who finished third on the table. They made it to the knockouts and lost the Eliminator against the Joburg Super Kings. He will next be seen playing for the Gujarat Titans in IPL 2024. He played a major role in the Titans winning their maiden IPL title in 2022.

Miller did get married to his fiance and longtime girlfriend Camilla Harris in Cape Town on Sunday. The event was attended by friends and family which included several of Miller’s teammates like Aiden Markram, Quinton De Kock, and Mark Boucher. Camilla is a professional polo player and she was seen cheering for Miller during his stint with GT in the IPL 2023 season.

David Miller scored 481 runs across 16 matches at an average of 38.33 from 375 deliveries. Miller hit 47 fours and 12 sixes. It marked his best year in the IPL surpassing his previous best of 418 in 2013 and 357 in 2015.

The Gujarat Titans begin their IPL 2024 campaign on March 24 against Mumbai Indians. They play a total of five matches in the first leg of the season. After MI they play CSK on March 26, SRH on May 31, Punjab Kings on April 4, and against LSG on April 7.

Miller made his IPL debut in 2012 and has every season for different teams. He has been a part of the Gujarat Titans since 2022. Before that, he played for the Rajasthan Royals, and Kings XI Punjab in the IPL. His initial years were with the Punjab Kings which made him into a reputed T20 cricketer. His years with the Titan made him a legend in the T20 format that he is today.
