Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Mumbai Indians (MI) go head to head in match 33 of IPL 2024 in Mullanpur, Chandigarh. This is the first time both these teams are meeting this season. This is also the first time both these teams are playing at Mullanpur. 

Punjab Kings lost their previous match against Rajasthan Royals defending 147 on Saturday. They took the game till the 20th over but Shimron Hetmyer won the match for the Royals. 

Mumbai Indians lost to Chennai Super Kings at home. Chasing 206, they were bowled out for 186 despite Rohit Sharma's unbeaten 10. MS Dhoni scored 20 off just 4 balls hitting three back-to-back sixes to Hardik Pandya in the 20th over. Eventually, his knock turned out to be the difference. 

Punjab Kings are placed seventh while Mumbai Indians are eighth on the points table. A loss for Punjab will take them below MI on the points table. They will miss Shikhar Dhawan who is ruled out with a shoulder injury for seven to 10 days. He missed the game against RR.
