RCB vs SRH Match Preview- IPL 2024, Match 30

Royal Challengers Bangalore

RCB are heading into this match after losing their previous match against Mumbai Indians. They posted 196 batting first with MI chasing the target down inside 16 overs. Skipper Faf du Plessis used six bowlers in the match all of whom bowled at an economy rate of 10.

RCB's bowling has been the problem for them this season like every other season. None of their bowlers have yet picked up 8 or more wickets in a season. The thinktank and the skipper have tried using various combinations but nothing has worked out so far.

As a side, RCB have just struggled to find wins in the season and outplayed in every loss that they have faced so far. Tom Curran and Lockie Ferguson are yet to get a game in this IPL so far.

RCB Squad

Faf du Plessis (c), Glenn Maxwell, Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar, Anuj Rawat, Dinesh Karthik, Suyash Prabhudessai, Will Jacks, Mahipal Lomror, Karn Sharma, Manoj Bhandage, Mayank Dagar, Vijaykumar Vyshak, Akash Deep, Mohammed Siraj, Reece Topley, Himanshu Sharma, Rajan Kumar, Cameron Green, Alzarri Joseph, Yash Dayal, Tom Curran, Lockie Ferguson, Swapnil Singh, Saurav Chauhan.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

Sunrisers Hyderabad are on a two-match winning streak heading into this game. They defeated CSK and Punjab Kings in their last two games. Overall, they have won three games including a win over Mumbai Indians. The side has played with clear intent and a clear mindset to attack the opposition.

Their bowlers are led by skipper Pat Cummins and with experienced bowlers like Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Natarajan, they have enough depth and variety in their bowling attack. They will be playing RCB who are not in great form and hence can capitalise.

SRH Squad

Pat Cummins (c), Abdul Samad, Abhishek Sharma, Aiden Markram, Marco Jansen, Rahul Tripathi, Washington Sundar, Glenn Phillips, Sanvir Singh, Heinrich Klaasen, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mayank Agarwal, T. RCB vs SRH Key Battles

Virat Kohli vs Pat Cummins

Cummins has yet to dismiss Kohli in the IPL but has not proved expensive against him. The former RCB skipper has scored 25 runs off 25 balls against the SRH skipper. Cummins has dismissed Kohli five times in Tests and twice in ODIs with the most recent being in the 2023 ODI World Cup final.

Heinrich Klaasen vs Mohd Siraj

Klaasen is deadly against the spinners. Thus RCB would like to attack him with pace. Siraj has been very wayward in this IPL so far and needs to tighten his line and length against him.

RCB vs SRH Key Players

RCB is heavily dependent on Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis to give them good starts with the bat. After the last match, they would bank on Dinesh Karthik as well. With the ball, Reece Topley, Mohd Siraj, and Will Jacks will be key with Glenn Maxwell likely to miss the game with a finger injury.

For SRH, Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, and Klaasesn will be key with the bat. With the ball, Cummins, Bhuvi, and Natarajan will be key.

RCB vs SRH Weather Report and Pitch Report

Talking about the weather for the RCB vs SRH IPL 2024 game, the conditions will be partially cloudy with a negligible change of rain. Bengaluru off late has been very hot and humid and even if it rains it will be a passing shower.

The pitch at the Chinnaswamy will be a high-scoring strip as usual. 200 is almost the average score batting first. RCB themselves got to 196 against MI. In case, SRH bats first, they should be targeting around 250.

Conclusion

RCB is heading into this game after four consecutive losses. The team looks jolted by these losses. The bowling combination just does not seem to sit right with the franchise as of now. SRH will look to maximize this weakness from RCB.
