Revealed - Who are the impact players nominated by LSG and DC for game 26 of IPL 2024

High-flying Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are locking horns against Delhi Capitals (DC) in the 26th game of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2024. The LSG vs DC match is being played at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow.

LSG are on a roll in IPL 2024. After starting their season with a defeat against Rajasthan Royals, they have bounced back in style by winning three games in a row. In their last game, the KL Rahul-led side inflicted a 33-run defeat on Gujarat Titans.

For the third game in a row, the Lucknow-based outfit defended a total. After posting 163/5 in 20 overs, LSG came up with a brilliant effort with the ball and bowled out GT for just 130 runs. Yash Thakur starred with the ball, taking 5 for 30 while Krunal Pandya picked up 3 for 11.

On the other hand, DC are languishing at the bottom of the points table after managing just one win in five games. In their last game, they suffered a 29-run defeat against Mumbai Indians. DC's bowlers have struggled to do well in the competition so far. In the last two games, they conceded 272 and 234 runs and will be desperate to come up with a good effort against LSG.

LSG have won the toss and opted to bat first. Speaking at the toss, LSG captain KL Rahul said: "We will bat first. I don't have an answer to that (good record batting first.) We want to start fresh, looks like a good wicket. I don't think dew is going to play a part. It (new pitch) has made a huge difference.

"You can bowl well, bat well, express yourselves, the boundaries are big and the bowlers enjoy playing here. The batters are enjoying batting as well. The three games we have played here have been packed. Arshad Khan comes in for Mayank Yadav," he added.

DC captain Rishabh Pant said: "We would have batted first as well. Few of our players got injured, so need to find the right playing XI. We have two changes. Mukesh and Kuldeep are back. They were injured, looking forward to seeing them back on the field."
