"Timely win for DC" - Twitter reacts as Delhi Capitals comfortably beat LSG to register second IPL 2024 win

Fans on Twitter reacted after Delhi Capitals finally registered their second win of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 as they defeated Lucknow Super Giants by six wickets. The match between the two teams took place at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on Friday (12th April).

Lucknow Super Giants had a horrible start with the bat as first Quinton de Kock (19) lost his wicket and it triggered the collapse for the team. They lost wickets in quick succession despite KL Rahul (39) playing a vital hand while opening the innings for his team. Even impact player Deepak Hooda failed to make a mark with the bat.

Lucknow Super Giants were left tottering at 94/7 and it seemed that they would get out for a low total. But Ayush Badoni (55*) played a fighting knock and bailed them out of trouble. Arshad Khan (20*) supported him as the duo powered their team to a total of 167. For Delhi, Kuldeep Yadav was the pick of the bowlers with his figures of three for 20.

The chase didn’t go in Delhi's Capitals way as they lost David Warner early. But after that, Prithvi Shaw (32) played some crisp shots and kept his team in the hunt. Jake Fraser-McGurk (55) stole the limelight with his innings on debut. The batter slammed a valiant half-century with the bat and took the game away from opposition.

Rishabh Pant (41) supported him well as the duo added 77 runs for the third wicket and Delhi chased the target with six wickets in hand and 11 balls to spare to win their second game of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024.
