Ishant Sharma clean bowled Andre Russell with a deadly yorker in the ongoing game between Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals in Vishakhapatnam.
The veteran fast-bowler did not have the best of outings with the ball before he delivered a fine final over. In fact, he was so expensive that Rishabh Pant did not even give him the opportunity to bowl all of his four overs in the game.
In his very first over, he gave away nine runs as Phil Salt hit him for two fours. And when he came to deliver his second over and fourth of the innings, Sunil Narine took him to the cleaners. The KKR opener smashed the DC fast-bowler for three sixes and two fours to collect 26 runs of the over.
After conceding 35 runs in the first two overs, Ishant Sharma did not get a chance to bowl in the game until the final over. And he made amends for his expensive overs by bowling a brilliant final over. The right-arm pacer had his task cut out as he was up against a well-set Andre Russell who was batting on 41 off just 18 balls.
However, Ishant Sharma came out on top as he clean-bowled the West Indies star with one of the best yorkers of the ongoing IPL 2024. It was a toe-crushing yorker from the India star as Andre Russell fell on the pitch in his attempt to stop the ball from crashing into the stumps. The ball went on to shatter the stumps.
After the dismissal, Russell came up with a brilliant gesture for Ishant Sharma. The KKR allrounder was seen applauding Ishant Sharma by clapping for his stunning delivery.
