Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batter Virat Kohli has kickstarted his training with the franchise ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The batter hit the ground running at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Monday (18th March).
Virat Kohli joined the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) late in the night on Sunday (17th March). He was captured in the airport while boarding a flight from Mumbai to Bengaluru for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. There were a lot of speculations about his availability for the league.
But as has been put to rest now as Virat Kohli joined the RCB ahead of the IPL 2024. The speculations were there because he recently pulled out of the Test series against England in India due to personal reasons. His wife gave birth to their second child in London, which was why he opted out.
However, Virat Kohli arrived in India just a few days ago and then subsequently reached Bangalore as well. As he arrived at the hometown of his franchise, he made sure that he turned up for the team in the practice the next morning he reached.
Virat was seen doing the catching practice and the fielding drill at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. In the video that has gone viral on the internet, he can be seen donning the RCB attire and doing the training.

Virat Kohli joining the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will be a huge boost for the team. The batter will be keen to make an impact for the team in the league and take his team to the title win in the IPL. The franchise recently won the WPL and would be hoping to do the same in IPL as well.
For that, Virat Kohli will have to play a massive role with the bat for the team. The league will also mark his comeback to the game. Smriti Mandhana reveals what Virat Kohli told her after RCB won the WPL 2024
After Royal Challengers Bangalore Women won the WPL 2024, Virat Kohli couldn’t stop himself from celebrating. The batter was seen video-calling the entire women’s team and passing on the wishes to the captain Smriti Mandhana.
Smriti Mandhana revealed that she didn’t hear what Virat Kohli told her as there was a lot of noise in the Stadium and they both gave thumbs up to each other. Speaking about the same, she revealed:
“I didn’t hear anything he was saying because it was too loud, he was like just thumbs up and I just did thumbs up, I will be meeting him.”
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will be playing the tournament opener of the IPL 2024. They will lock horns against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on 22nd March at the Chepauk Stadium.
