IPL 2025 Unsold Players
More than 1500 players had registered themselves for the highly-awaited IPL 2025 mega auction. The auction will be taking place on November 24 and 25 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
After 1574 players registered for the auction, exactly 1000 of them failed to make the cut for the final shortlist. While the IPL auction is definitely all about the players who are sold, the unsold players also grab a lot of attention.
Over the years, one has seen a number of big names failing to attract even a single bid during the auction. The story won't be much different in the IPL 2025 mega auction as well. In the upcoming auction too, more than 350 players are set to go unsold.
With each team allowed to sign a maximum of 25 players, the ten IPL franchises can sign only 250 players. The ten teams have already retained 46 players which means that a maximum of only 204 players will be able to get the IPL contracts. It means that at least 370 of the 574 players are set to go unsold in the auction.
Here is a list showing the number of maximum players each team can sign during the auction:
Chennai Super Kings: 20 slots (7 overseas)
Royal Challengers Bengaluru: 22 slots (8 overseas)
Sunrisers Hyderabad: 20 slots (5 overseas)
Mumbai Indians: 20 slots (8 overseas)
Delhi Capitals: 21 slots (7 overseas)
Rajasthan Royals: 19 slots (7 overseas)
Punjab Kings: 23 slots (8 overseas)
Kolkata Knight Riders: 19 slots (6 overseas)
Gujarat Titans: 20 slots (7 overseas)
Lucknow Super Giants: 20 slots (7 overseas)
