Melbourne Renegades journey in BBL so far:

Melbourne Renegades made a poor start to their journey in the BBL. In the first edition of the tournament, the Melbourne-based outfit finished at the seventh spot.

However, they bounced back in style in the next season. They finished at the top of the points table after the league stage before bowing out at the semifinal stage.

In the following two seasons, Melbourne Renegades finished at the sixth spot before finishing at the fifth position in the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons. In the 2017-18 season, they finished the league stage at the third spot before exiting the tournament at the semifinal stage.

After the promising season, the Renegades finally won the BBL in the 2018-19 season under the captaincy of Aaron Finch.

The triumphant campaign was followed by a disastrous run as the Renegades finished at the bottom of the points table for three seasons in a row. In the 2022-23 season, they performed well and secured a third-place finish before exiting the 2023-24 edition at the seventh spot.
