Indian Cricket Team whitewashed mighty New Zealand in the ODI Series by 3-0. Skipper Rohit Sharma would be delighted with the team’s performance as it was a collective effort. The star batter Virat Kohli looked a bit scratchy as he scored 55 runs in 3 matches as earlier against Sri Lanka batter was in sublime touch and had smashed 2 tons.

New Zealand couldn’t form huge partnerships which hurt the team. There were huge expectations from the left-handed batter Tom Latham to lead the team in the absence of Kane Williamson but it looked like the burden of captaincy affected his natural game.

Saba Karim was having an interaction with India News and was asked about Virat Kohli. “We have to check the team’s position at that point in time. Whenever the team gets a good start, you try to score at a brisk pace. It also affects your planning a bit, which happened throughout the series,” said Saba Karim.

Exciting Contest on Cards

The upcoming T20I Series between India & New Zealand starting from 27th January (Friday) promises to be a thrilling one as both the teams are evenly matched. Surprisingly, the Black Caps have given the reins to Mitchell Santner who doesn’t have any prior experience in leading the side. There are chances that New Zealand play with 3 spinners as Ish Sodhi is a wicket-taking option along with Michael Bracewell.

Senior cricketers like Rohit Sharma & Virat Kohli have been rested ahead of the Australia Tests. The flamboyant all-rounder Hardik Pandya will continue to lead the side in the T20Is. Hardik would be well aware of the fact that New Zealand would be aiming for revenge for their recent T20I series defeat in November 2022.
