“Virat Kohli scored two centuries in three ODIs”: Sunil Gavaskar

Sunil Gavaskar, a former captain of India, agrees that Virat Kohli’s performance benefits Team India. He believes that the huge innings by the Delhi batters contribute to the team’s respectable totals, which frequently benefits the bowlers in the second innings.

Speaking with Madan Lal on the same program, Gavaskar remarked: “Your No. 3 batter is in form. He scored two centuries in three ODIs. Team India scored 373 and 390 runs in those games. The bowler’s work gets easier when you have that many runs while defending the score. Virat Kohli’s form is a great thing for Indian cricket.”

On January 18 in Hyderabad, he will play in the opening ODI matchup with New Zealand. For the remaining T20Is, the action will next go to Raipur (January 21) and Indore (January 24).
