The third and dead rubber ODI of the three-match series between the Rohit Sharma-led India National Cricket Team and the Tom Latham-led New Zealand National Cricket Team is being played at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore on Tuesday, January 24.
Both Gill and Rohit played an aggressive brand of cricket on the small Indore ground and made full use of the batting-friendly conditions.

In the 8th over, Gill went berserk against the Kiwi pacer Lockie Ferguson and smashed him for 22 runs (4,0,4,4,6,4). The six that Gill had hit in the over left many impressed.

On the 5th ball of the over, Ferguson bowled a short length delivery wide outside off-stump and Gill got on his toes and slapped the ball over the backward point for a remarkable maximum. Rohit’s reaction at the non-striker’s end clearly showed that he was extremely impressed with Gill’s execution of the shot.
