Kuldeep Yadav was given the 39th over, on the 5th ball of the over Kuldeep bowled a leggie where Lockie Ferguson top edged and Rohit Sharma from nowhere took a running catch at short midwicket. New Zealand’s score at that time was 279-8.
Clinical Performance from India
The Men in Blue didn’t panic when Henry Nicholls & Devon Conway formed a huge partnership of 106 runs. The management would be pumped up after seeing the performance of Shardul Thakur as the right arm speedster provided 3 crucial breakthroughs of Daryl Mitchell, Tom Latham & Glenn Phillips in one spell.

New Zealand would rue the fact that they couldn’t form partnerships as it was just a matter of one more big partnership which could have taken the game closer. The Black Caps though would be happy that Devon Conway hit form as he was looking ominous.
