IND vs NZ Weather Report Live Today, Pitch Report Of Ranchi Stadium– 1st T20I, 2023. The IND vs NZ series moved onto the T20Is from the ODIs. Both teams play a three-match T20I series after the ODI series was won by India. The hosts whitewashed the Kiwis in the three-match ODI series and became the number-one-ranked ODI side. The Kiwis have slipped to the third position.

Both teams will now play a three-match T20I series. The T20Is will be played in Ranchi (January 27), Lucknow (January 29), and Ahmedabad (February 1). All the matches will start at 7 pm IST. The T20I series also is a part of the preparations for both teams for the ODI World Cup later this year.

The New Selection committee led by Chetan Sharma, have picked India’s T20 squad for the upcoming series against New Zealand. Hardik Pandya has been appointed as the captain of the T20 side with senior players including Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul being rested for the series.

Hardik Pandya has been retained as the captain of the India National Cricket Team for the series against New Zealand. With the senior players rested, Prithvi Shaw was one of the major selections after his continued run of form in domestic cricket. Most of the players who played in the T20I series against Sri Lanka have been retained for the series against the Kiwis. Mohammed Siraj and Mohammed Shami have been rested for the T20I series.

New Zealand have also announced its T20 squad for the series against India. Tom Southee and Kane Williamson have been rested for the T20I series with Mitchell Santner leading the Blackcaps for the series. Dane Cleaver and Ben Lister who did not play the ODIS are back in the squad.

Both teams have played 22 T20Is against each other with India winning 12 and the Kiwis winning 9. India won the last T20I series 1-0 played between both sides in New Zealand in November 2022.

The first IND vs NZ T20I will start at 7 pm IST. So far three T20Is have been played at this venue with the team chasing winning twice. India and New Zealand previously played a T20I in 2021 with India winning the game by seven wickets.

The venue is among the most recent ones in India. To date, only two Test matches and six ODIs have been played in Ranchi apart from five T20Is.
