After exhibiting brilliant performances in the T20 World Cup 2021, the Pakistan Cricket Team are set to play a three-match T20 series against Bangladesh, starting 19th November. The second T20 international will be played on 20th November at Shere Bangla National Stadium.

Pakistan would be disappointed to not have won the T20 World Cup 2021. They were nothing short of outstanding in the Super 12 stage. Babar Azam and Boys defeated all five teams in Group 2 and finished the Super 12 round at number one position with 5 wins in as many matches.
However, Australia beat them in the semi-final by 5 wickets and with that, their hopes of winning the title were put to an end. Pakistan made no change in the playing XI throughout the tournament and they have, once again, backed the same squad for the upcoming three T20 internationals against Bangladesh. Pakistan’s 18-man squad is much similar to the one picked for the T20 World Cup.
Bangladesh, on the other hand, endured a poor outing in the T20 World Cup. After winning 2 out of three matches in the first round, they managed to reach the Super 12 stage. However, they failed to win a single game thereafter. Bangladesh lost all five matches played in the Super 12 stage. As a result of that, a lot of players from the World Cup squad aren’t picked for the three T20 internationals against Pakistan.

Senior player, Mushfiqur Rahim has been rested following his poor performance in the T20 World Cup. And the openers, Liton Das and Soumya Sarkar have been dropped from the team. Add to that, Shakib Al Hasan, Saifuddin, and Tamim Iqbal would miss out due to respective injuries. The likes of Najmul Hossain Shanto, Aminul Islam have been recalled to the squad. Also, the Under-19 World Cup-winning captain, Akbar Ali has received his maiden T20 call-up.

The pitch at Shere Bangla National Stadium is slow in nature. Keeping in mind the last series against Australia, the spinners are going to have a lot of purchase from the surface. They would love to bowl here. The batters will need to be cautious at the start before accelerating. Anything between 140 and 150 would be a par score here. Both teams would look to bat first upon winning the toss.
