Anil Kumble is a former Indian cricketer who represented the side from 1990 to 2008.
Anil Kumble is a former right-arm spinner who used to bowl leg spin. He had a long career with the Indian team and also led the Test side during the last phase of his international career.
Kumble was part of the Indian Team that won the ICC Champions Trophy in 2002 and finished as runners-up in 2000. He also won the Asia Cup with India in 1995 and ended as runners-up in 1997 and 2004.

Anil Kumble was born on 17 October, 1970 in Mysuru to Krishna Swamy and Saroja.
He grew up in Karnataka with his brother Dinesh Kumble. He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is married to Chethana Kumble and the couple has two daughters Svasti and Aaruni and one son Mayas.
Early and Domestic Career
Anil Kumble made his debut for the Karnataka Team in the domestic circuit in 1989 and went on to play for the side till 2009 until his retirement.
He also represented England counties Northamptonshire, Leicestershire, and Surrey.
International Career
Anil Kumble made his international debut with an ODI game against Sri Lanka in April 1990. He went on to play for India till his last game in October 2008- a Test match against Australia at Arun Jaitley Stadium.
Kumble, who never featured for India in T20Is, played a total of 132 Tests and 271 ODIs for India. The leg spinner captured 619 wickets in Tests and 337 wickets in ODIs. He still holds the record for most wickets for India in international cricket.
Franchise Career
Anil Kumble only played three seasons in the Indian Premier League and was part of Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the first three seasons. He was also the captain of the side and led the team to the final in the 2009 season where it ended as runners-up.
