Hardik Pandya is an Indian allrounder who plays for Team India in international cricket. In the Indian Premier League, he plays for Mumbai Indians while in domestic cricket, he represents Baroda.

Hardik Pandya's IPL teams over the years are Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans. Pandya started his journey in the IPL with Mumbai Indians in 2015. Mumbai Indians are known for unearthing talented players and it would not be wrong to say that Pandya is one of their best finds.

It did not take Pandya long to become an indispensable part of the Mumbai Indians camp. In his first season, he helped Mumbai Indians win their second IPL title. In 9 games, Pandya scored 112 runs at a strike-rate of more than 180 and picked up one wicket. In the same season, he smashed 61 runs from just 31 balls in a must-win clash for his side against Kolkata Knight Riders.

Pandya stayed with Mumbai Indians till IPL 2021 and helped them win four titles during this period. His best season with the bat came in 2019 when he scored 402 runs. In that season, he had also picked up 14 wickets with the ball.

After the 2021 season, Mumbai Indians surprisingly decided against retaining Pandya. Newcomers Gujarat Titans drafted Pandya and appointed him as their captain ahead of IPL 2022. Pandya went on to justify the decision by leading the Titans to the title in their very first season. He also led the team from the very front, impressing with both bat and ball.

Pandya scored 487 runs with the help of four fifties and picked up 8 wickets too. In IPL 2023, he once again led the Titans to the final where they lost against Chennai Super Kings. In that season, Pandya had scored 346 runs and picked up 3 wickets.

Ahead of IPL 2024, Pandya sealed a sensational return to Mumbai Indians and replaced Rohit Sharma as the Mumbai Indians skipper. However, he failed to live up to the expectations as Mumbai Indians finished the season at the bottom of the points table.

In 2015, Hardik Pandya's IPL salary was INR 10 lakh after Mumbai Indians bought him at his base price.

Three seasons later, he received a whopping INR 11 crore contract from the Mumbai-based franchise. Gujarat Titans' later secured his services for INR 15 crores before Mumbai Indians signed him up in a trade deal for the same amount.

• Second most IPL titles for a player. Pandya has won 5 IPL titles as a player so far. Only Rohit Sharma (6) is ahead of him.
• He is the fastest Indian player to hit 100 sixes in IPL. He is the only Indian in the top five of this list. Pandya took 1046 balls to achieve the feat.
• Only the third player to win the IPL as a captain in the debut season with Shane Warne and Rohit Sharma being the other two.
• Only Indian allrounder to score over 400 runs and take 10-plus wickets in a single IPL season. In 2019, he scored 402 runs and picked up 14 wickets.
