There are worries regarding the safety and security of the forthcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches in light of the theft of surveillance cameras and other equipment from Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Eight security cameras, an optical fibre line, and generator batteries were reportedly also taken from the stadium. In the Gulberg police station, two cases have been reported, but no arrests have been made as of yet. As a result, the police have come under fire for suspected incompetence and failure to take the necessary precautions to stop the crime.
