India will play a five-match T20I series against South Africa immediately after IPL 2022. The series will be played from June 9 to 19 across five venues. The BCCI is yet to announce the squad. As per reports, the squad might be announced during the playoffs. There is a good opportunity for a few India Under 19 players to be included given their performances in the IPL.

India lost to South Africa when both the teams played each other last time. India won the first test but then lost all the other matches which included two-Test and three ODIs. They will be eager to go for a series win at home which will be ideal preparation for the T20 World Cup later this year as well.

The southpaw is the highest run-getter for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2022. So far, he has scored 376 runs from 13 matches including two fifties. He has batted at number four throughout the season and churned out consistent performances. With the senior players likely to be rested, he can be an ideal number four who can anchor the innings and also play the big shots if required.

The left-arm pacer from Punjab Kings has bowled the most yorkers this season. Amid another disappointing season for Punjab, Arshdeep’s rise has been the biggest gain for the franchise. He has nailed his yorkers in the death overs and made it difficult for the batsmen to score runs. Though he has taken just 10 wickets this season, the precision with which he has bowled in the death has made him a player to watch out for.

Though Tyagi has not got many opportunities for SRH, he can be given an opportunity by the BCCI in this upcoming series. With most of the senior bowlers rested, the series can be an ideal opportunity for the BCCI to check the depth of Indian bowling resources. Tyagi has registered one of the fastest deliveries this season nearly at 150 kmph.
