IND vs SA: Aakash Chopra Picks India's Playing XI vs South Africa For The First T20I

Aakash Chopra has named Team India’s potential XI for the first Twenty20 International against South Africa, which will take place on June 9 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
On the day of the series opener, the Indian squad was handed several blows, with skipper KL Rahul and Kuldeep Yadav both, ruled out due to an injury. Rishabh Pant has already been appointed as the skipper, and Hardik Pandya will serve as his vice-captain for the five-match series.
In a video posted on his YouTube page, Aakash Chopra mentioned that Rahul’s absence means Ishan Kishan and Ruturaj Gaikwad will bat first. He went on to say:
“Because KL Rahul is not available, Ishan Kishan and Ruturaj Gaikwad, India’s different opening combination, will be seen together. Ishan Kishan’s strike rate has decreased in the last three years, which is a fascinating figure.”
“If Deepak Hooda plays, Shreyas Iyer will come in at No. 3 or Shreyas Iyer may come in at No. 4. Dinesh Karthik will most likely be unable to participate if Deepak Hooda plays.”
Hardik Pandya and Rishabh Pant are the other two batsmen in the top six, according to Aakash Chopra. He remarked:
“Rahul Dravid is the coach. Rishabh Pant is the skipper and Deepak Hooda can play. Then it’s Hardik Pandya and Rishabh Pant, with Dinesh Karthik at No. 6 if Hooda doesn’t play.”

Aakash Chopra finished by naming the five bowlers he want to see in Team India’s starting lineup.
“Chahal is present, but Kuldeep is not, thus it will not be Kulcha. So Axar (Patel) and Chahal, followed by the three pacers – Harshal Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Avesh Khan. That’s how I feel, and we’ll see how the Indian team responds. The sad truth is that there aren’t many options left.”
The Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi will host the first T20I between India and South Africa. The first Twenty20 International between India and South Africa will begin at 7:30 p.m. IST on Thursday (June 9).
