IND vs SA: Arshdeep Singh Suffers Back Injury Ahead Of 3rd T20I vs South Africa In Indore

India National Cricket Team have been dealt with yet another injury blow as the 23-year-old left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh has sustained a back injury ahead of the dead rubber 3rd T20I encounter against South Africa National Cricket Team.

The Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore is hosting the third and final T20I of the three-match T20I series between Rohit Sharma-led India National Cricket Team and Temba Bavuma-led South Africa National Cricket Team on Tuesday, October 4. India have already clinched the series win with the victories of 8 wickets in the first T20I and 16 runs in the second T20I.

Meanwhile, India made three changes to the playing XI in the third T20I as KL Rahul and Virat Kohli were rested and Arshdeep Singh was out with an injury. Shreyas Iyer, Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Siraj came in as replacements for the aforementioned players in the playing XI.

It is precautionary, nothing serious – Rohit Sharma on Arshdeep Singh’s back issues

After winning the toss and opting to bowl first in the 3rd T20I, India National Cricket Team captain Rohit Sharma revealed that Arshdeep has some issues with his back, but it’s precautionary, not serious.

“Three changes for us, Kohli and KL are out, and Arshdeep misses out for some issues with his back. It is precautionary, nothing serious,” India National Cricket Team skipper Rohit said at the toss.

“We’re going to field first. It’s a very high-scoring ground, I feel the pitch won’t change a lot so nice to know what target is in front of us,” he also said.

“We’ve got Shreyas Iyer, Umesh Yadav and Siraj in. We want to keep challenging ourselves, keep improving and keep batting the same way,” Rohit added.
