Former cricketer Ajay Jadeja thinks Team India opening batsman KL Rahul appears to have rediscovered his groove because of his impressive recent bat performances.

In the opening T20I match against South Africa on September 28, the right-handed batsman produced a critical half-century that enabled India to successfully chase down a total of 106 with eight wickets remaining. Jadeja praised Rahul for his outstanding performance.

While Rahul has recently been under fire for his poor play, Jadeja stated during a conversation on Cricbuzz that he has played his part well, constantly scoring important runs for the team.

In the match against the Proteas, the player managed to hit more sixes than Suryakumar Yadav, who had been in fantastic form, he noted.

“You can see KL Rahul recovering from the last few games.” His most recent chance was a 39-ball 30-run knock in the Asia Cup. He is merely been playing what is asked of him since then after he is gotten into his rhythm.”

“He is playing as brilliantly as we have ever seen him. Even today, he surpasses Suryakumar Yadav in the number of sixes.”

KL Rahul was brilliant with his defence: Parthiv Patel

Parthiv Patel emphasizes in the video how KL Rahul handled the bowlers skillfully under difficult circumstances. He gave the right-handed batsman high accolades for making an impression on a surface that favoured the quick bowlers.

Considering that Rahul was able to save India with his valiant half-century, he suggested that this knock may do wonders for Rahul’s self-confidence. Patel continued by saying that, on occasion, a player would be better off with a steady knock rather than a rapid fifty.

“Sometimes playing an innings like this gives you more confidence than scoring those fifties in 20 or 30 balls. You know that you have weathered the storm well and shown a lot of skill.”

“KL Rahul was superb with his defence and was not trying to take singles down the third man area or bat in an unusual manner. On such pitches, you need a batter like this.”

By winning the first game of the three-match series, the Men in Blue enjoy a 1-0 advantage. The next match between the two teams will take place on Sunday, October 2, when they square off.
