India and South Africa go head to head in the fifth and final T20I in Bengaluru on Sunday, June 19. India won the fourth game by 82 runs to take the series to a decider. India’s 82-run win was also their biggest in terms of runs against the Proteas.

India started the series 0-2 and played some good cricket to level it at 2-2 with one game to go. The Men in Blue have never lost a bilateral T20I series in India since 2019. South Africa, on the other hand, has not lost a series in India across formats since 2011. One of these stats will change come Sunday.

India found multiple match-winners in the fourth game. Dinesh Karthik and Hardik Pandya scored their highest T20I scores in the game. Avesh Khan picked up his best figures of 4/18. India played with the same bunch of players in all four games and should back them to win the decider on Sunday.

South Africa, have been hit by injury concerns and unavailability of players heading into the fifth game. Aiden Markram is already ruled out of the series. Injuries to Kagiso Rabada and skipper Temba Bavuma has now mounted problems for the Proteas. Bavuma might well be unavailable for the game after being hit on the left hand in the fourth T20I.
