South Africa once again won the toss and they opted to bowl first in the match. At the toss, the Proteas skipper revealed that they have made two forced changes to the playing XI as Reeza Hendricks and Heinrich Klaasen have replaced Quinton de Kock and Tristan Stubbs in the playing XI.

Notably, Stubbs made his international debut in the last game for South Africa but he didn’t get the opportunity to bat as David Miller and Rassie van der Dussen had finished the match for the Temba Bavuma-led side to help South Africa get a 1-0 lead in the series.

At the toss, the Proteas skipper revealed that the star wicketkeeper-batsman Quinton de Kock suffered a hand injury and he will not be able to take part in the second T20I against India.

“We will have a bowl first. We don’t know how the wicket will play. It was easier to bat second in the last game. You can chase anything with smaller boundaries.

“You need to stay in the fight as batters. We have two forced changes; QDK has a hand injury and Stubbs misses out, Klaasen and Hendricks come in,” Bavuma said at the toss.
