After the defeat in the T20I series, South Africa will now face India in a three-match ODI series. The IND vs SA 1st ODI will be played on October 6 (Thursday) at Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. Temba Bavuma leads South Africa in IND vs SA ODI series.

Reeza Hendricks might be another opening batsman for the team in IND vs SA 1st ODI. He was part of the T20I series against India but did not play in any game.
