After the defeat in the T20I series, South Africa will now face India in a three-match ODI series. The IND vs SA 1st ODI will be played on October 6 (Thursday) at Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. Temba Bavuma leads South Africa in IND vs SA ODI series.

Shikhar Dhawan is the skipper of India in the series. South Africa recently lost the T20I series against the home team India. South Africa lost the 1st T20I by 8 wickets and the 2nd T20I by 16 runs.
