Indian Cricket Team is all set to lock horns against South Africa for a 3 Match ODI Series. sportzwiki.com/wiki/shikhar-dhawan is all set to captain the India team as all the star players have been sent to Australia for T20 World Cup preparation. This ODI Series is extremely important for South Africa as the series is a part of the World Super League. The visitors would be aware that one more bad series would endanger their chances of getting a direct entry to the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.
South Africa is placed at 11th position out of 13 with 49 points in 13 matches. South Africa would be a bit happy that India has named a second-string squad. This Series won’t get that much attention as all of the buzzes is about ICC T20 World Cup 2022 which promises to be a thrilling tourney.

Shikhar Dhawan on ODI Series
Shikhar Dhawan was asked about the challenge of captaining the team and ODI Series. “I feel very blessed I had a beautiful career. I am really grateful. Whenever possible I pass on my knowledge to youngsters. Now there is new responsibility on me but I see opportunity in challenges and I enjoy it.” said Shikhar Dhawan.

“My goal currently is 2023 World Cup. I just want to keep myself fit and be in a good state of mind to be in fray.” he added.
Great Chance for India
BCCI has taken a good step by naming all the young players in the squad. Rajat Patidar has a golden chance to make a name for himself. We all have seen how destructive he was in the IPL for RCB. The players will get invaluable experience by playing against South Africa as they will get a taste of International Cricket.

We all are witnessing non-stop International Cricket and having 3 squads ready is quite good. All the attention would be on Shikhar Dhawan as a couple of centuries can give head-aches to the selection panel. It would be interesting to see how youngsters cope up with this challenge.
