India vs Sri Lanka: Head To Head Records, Sri Lanka Tour of India 2022, 1st T20I

India and Sri Lanka will face off in a three-match T20I series followed by a two-match Test series. The India vs Sri Lanka series kicks off with the first T20I in Lucknow on February 24. Heading into the series, both teams are polar opposites on the ICC T20I rankings.

India are topping the table after whitewashing the West Indies at home. Sri Lanka on the other hand, have dropped to ninth after their 4-1 defeat against Australia. 

Besides, upcoming India vs Sri Lanka T20I series will be crucial for both teams to carry forward the momentum. It will be a dress rehearsal for both teams for this year’s T20 World Cup to be played in Australia in October-November.

Both teams have injury concerns heading into the series. For India, Deepak Chahar and Suryakumar Yadav are ruled out with injuries. Sri Lanka have Avishka Fernando and Bhanuka Rajapaksa missing from the squad due to injuries.
