3. High Batting Strike Rate

Rahul Tripathi has a good batting strike while batting which makes him a perfect player for the shortest format. We saw in the last game how he smacked 35 runs off just 16 balls, registering a strike rate of 218+.
In IPL too, the right-handed batsman has always batted at a good strike. In IPL 2022, he held a strike rate of 158+. Overall, he accounts for a strike rate of 140+ in the Indian Premier League across 76 games.

2. Consistent Performance in IPL

Rahul Tripathi has been a consistent performer in IPL since his debut in the 2017 season. Playing for Rising Pune Supergiants in his debut season, Tripathi mustered 391 runs in 14 games with 2 half-centuries.
Later, he scored 226 runs in 12 matches in the 2018 season and 141 runs in 8 games in the 2019 season. In IPL 2021 and IPL 2022, Tripathi smacked 397 runs and 413 runs respectively. Hence, he has been a consistent performer in IPL which proves that he can be valuable in the T20I format.
3. Good Choice at One-Down

Currently, Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer are two batsmen who take the no.3 position in the national team currently. Virat Kohli has too much workload as he is part of all three formats. Shreyas Iyer becomes a regular member in ODIs and Tests but in T20Is, he is not always picked for not owning a very good batting strike.
Hence, Rahul Tripathi can be a perfect choice for India to capture the no.3 spot in T20Is. He has a lot of experience in this batting position in IPL and he can deliver good performances for the national team too. While Kohli is rested in T20Is, Tripathi can be a useful option in the one-down slot.
