During a promotional event, former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly sidestepped the query that may have resolved the Sachin Tendulkar versus Virat Kohli argument. In the first One Day International (ODI) in Guwahati, former Indian captain Virat Kohli hit his second consecutive century in an effort to break the Master Blaster’s long-standing century milestone.

The 2022 season was finished with Kohli scoring a century in Bangladesh, and he began the new year by scoring his 45th ODI century against Sri Lanka in the first game of the series at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium.

“It’s a difficult question to answer. Kohli is a fantastic player. He’s played many such innings, 45 hundreds don’t happen like this. He’s a special talent. There will be periods when he will not score, but he’s a special player,” Ganguly told the news agency PTI.

In the opening One-Day International between India and Sri Lanka on Tuesday in Guwahati, Kohli scored an impressive 113 from 87 balls. With the help of Kohli’s outstanding batting performance, India was able to record a winning score of 373-7 in 50 overs.

The master of batting was awarded Player of the Match for his outstanding performance. The only cricketer to have scored 100 tonnes is batting great Tendulkar, while former India captain Kohli has 73 international hundreds.
