Indian Cricket Team is all set to play the 3rd ODI match against Sri Lanka at Thiruvananthapuram. The Men in Blue would be keen to keep the winning run continue after a hard-fought 2nd ODI. Shreyas Iyer, the dashing right-handed batter so far has had a topsy-turvy series where he hasn’t converted his start.
Sri Lanka on the other side would be eager to make a statement where they would be hoping that the batters show some fight that was missing in both the ODIs. The visitors would be banking on the wicket-keeper batter Kusal Mendis as he is not only the most capped batter but at the same time, he has the knack of playing a significant knock.

Skipper Dasun Shanaka would be well aware of the fact that they need to bring their ‘A’ game and most importantly, they need to form partnerships that are missing. With Sri Lanka not yet qualified for the World Cup 2023, they need to find an ideal combination quickly as their next ODI assignment is against the mighty Kiwis.
The Men in Blue would be hoping for a comprehensive victory this time as the island nation almost pulled off a heist in the 2nd ODI. The hosts would be pretty happy with the performance of KL Rahul in the 2nd ODI as the batter showed immense mental application.

I do look at scoring runs on every ball- Shreyas Iyer
Before the start of the 3rd ODI, Shreyas Iyer was asked how does he prepare for the match. “I do look at scoring runs on every ball when I go out to bat. I see to it that momentum is on my side. My approach is to chase balls. In ODIs if you get to a start, you have to see to it that you maintain the rhythm and not complicate things,” said Shreyas Iyer.
I don’t think about the past or future- Shreyas Iyer
“Depends on the workload. If we travel a lot, I try and give my body a break. Otherwise, I get a good hit to see my eyes are in place. I don’t think about the past or future but stay in the moment and look to seize every opportunity I get,” he added.
