The management would be quite delighted with the performance of KL Rahul as the right-handed batter showed immense mental application. KL Rahul scored an invaluable knock of 64 runs in 103 balls where he struck 6 fours and took the team out of the muddle.

Moeen Ali on Virat Kohli

Moeen Ali was having an interaction with media during the ILT20 league and was asked about Virat Kohli. “I really admire Virat Kohli. He is definitely the one, he is somebody else as a player. He is the one you want to play with, spend time with him. He is very unique, I’ve not met anybody else like him in terms of his personality. Cricket-wise there are so many great players, but as a person, I really love Virat’s company. MS Dhoni is very inspiring.” said Moeen Ali.

Concerns for India

Even if India has won the series, there are quite a few points where the team has to work. Umran Malik undoubtedly took wickets but the pacer was quite expensive in the two ODIs. The management should think of using Umran Malik in the power-play as his sheer pace can rattle the opponent.

Sri Lanka on the other hand would be hoping for a quick turn-around where once again their batters were exposed. Since 2014, the island nation hasn’t won an ODI Series overseas which is quite a concern. Skipper Dasun Shanaka would be well aware of the fact that they need to bring their ‘A’ game to defeat India.
